These b-e-a-utiful fine art prints are the perfect alternative to an original. Printed right here on Vancouver Island, these prints have the look and feel of something I have painted myself. If I was describe to these prints, I would say "they are delicious", but since writing about paper is not one of my finest talents, here's what my printers have to say about it:
Fine Art Paper
"Made from 100% cotton rag and using a hot press production technique, this Hot-Press Fine Art Paper features a smooth matte finish. The heavy weight of 330 gsm, thickness of 16 mil, and opacity of 98% further give this paper the look and feel of a true fine art paper. Also, by forgoing the use of optical brightening agents, this media will offer a warmer, more natural coloration that is less prone to degradation over time. Designed for longevity, Hot Press Natural is free of acid, lignin, and chlorine and is pH buffered."
The natural texture of our canvas produces prints that are often hard to tell from an art original, and because they are not behind glass, offer stunning, rich-colour views from any angle. Our stretcher bars are locally sourced from sustainable, Vancouver Island Douglas Fir and Hemlock, kiln-dried and milled to our specifications, just 15 minutes from our location. We custom cut stretcher bars for each print, building them into light, strong, well-braced (corner bracing and cross bracing as required) frames of any size from 8x8" to 54" by almost any length.
See? They're better at describing paper than me.
If you've made it this far in the product description, good for you. Not many people read past the second sentence these days, you're going places.
